Fall Festival

On Sunday, Oct 4, we went to the Maryland Sub-Suburbs to a Montgomery County park that is also a "historic farm" for their annual Fall Festival. Aside from being full of soccer moms and dads (a stark contrast to the urban hipsters we saw at the Crafty Bastard art fair in Adams Morgan on Saturday) the day was lovely. The kids got to see goats and pigs, and run a corn maze, and see old fashioned tools (just like the ones GrandFather still uses, I might add). We bought some "Potato Candy", which is proof that enough sugar can make candy out of anything, and Quinn and I "tinsmithed" a small rooster.
