Rally to Restore Sanity 10-30-10

Yesterday we went to the big Rally to Restore Sanity on the National Mall. Organized by a comedian, this rally was planned for 60,000, but credible estimates are that over 215,000 attended. http://www.rallytorestoresanity.com/

It was a beautiful sunny day, and the crowds were out. People were all smiling and friendly. We were too far from the stage and the screens to see or hear anything, but we still had fun. I was wished a Happy Birthday by many, many people. People may say that it was just a gathering of wackos with crazy signs (www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/the-100-best-signs-at-the-rally-to-restore-sanity), but I feel like the people there are really the moderate, liberal types that I like in this country.
